Made this in 3d max. I just scattered a few planes with the same video clip assigned as material. Apparently there is a bug in the clip, you can see it twitching.
This is the new and improved version. I rendered this with the default scanline renderer instead of Mental ray. The rendering time would have increased too much. I used camera motion blur for this and I quite like the result.
